Introducing Alex Kihn:

PE Teacher, Head Basketball Coach, Career Development

Welcome Alex Kihn!

Alex Kihn is a native of Rogers!. He graduated from Heritage High School where he was a two-time varsity letterman in basketball, a three-time letterman in tennis, and an Eagle Scout. He has amassed 7 years of coaching experience at every level of the game.

His passion for coaching and teaching started flourishing while he attended the University of Arkansas. He volunteered as the 7th-grade coach at St. Vincent de Paul for both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for three years. In his junior year of college, he returned to RHHS and was a volunteer coach and assistant to the high school boys’ team.

During his senior year, he was named the head 8th-grade girl’s coach at St. Vincent de Paul, leading the team to the conference finals and a second-place finish. He also led the 7th grade team to a number-one finish in the conference.  During this time, he saw a need for development for local high school girls in the area and volunteered to help create a competitive summer travel team in Northwest Arkansas.

After graduation, Alex became the 7th-grade basketball coach at Oakdale Middle School and  led them to their best record in 5 years.

Coach Kihn says “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be named the first head basketball coach of School For Advanced Studies. Go Hellbenders!”
